Typically, employees are entitled to one day of leave for every 20 days worked. However, this can vary depending on the client or organization’s policy, and the client may decide whether or not to fix the accrual of leave days.
Fully paid up to 12 days, eligible on a proportional basis for employees who have not completed one year of service. However, this will also depend on the client or organization’s policy.
Up to 14 weeks, with 60 days fully paid. Compulsory maternity leave starts 2 weeks before delivery and continues for at least 6 weeks after delivery.
Nepal’s Labor Act provides fully paid paternity leave of up to 15 days. The leave can be taken once the wife of the male employee begins labor.
Employees are entitled to up to 13 days of leave if required due to their customs or religion, or in the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, or a female employee’s in-laws (mother-in-law or father-in-law). Employees on this leave will be paid their full salary.
